Amphora and stainless steel, on fine lees with batonnage. Zero filtration, zero fining. Apple, peach, flowers, a touch of dried herbs. Very smooth, citrusy, brackish on the palate. Finishes long, crisp, mineral. Nekazari is Txakoli as the wine of the future! A bomb on its own, a bomb paired with raw fish.

The producer
Hasi Berriak is located in Urdaibai, a nature reserve in the Basque Country where the green hills of Bizkaia meet the white flysch cliffs on the ocean. A harsh, fascinating, and extremely saline terroir.
Artisanal Txakoli from Hondarrabi Zuri and Zuri Zerratia, with meticulous viticulture, recovery of indigenous varieties, and precise vinification. Tense, iodized, and profoundly contemporary wines, a far cry from the pintxos bar Txakoli.
