Virage 2023 – Jean-François Essler
Couldn't load pickup availability
Chardonnay from old vines planted in 1950 on Lias and Trias marl, in the southern Jura. Intense and elegant, deep and food-friendly: substance, tension and a long savoury finish.
Spontaneous fermentation in tank with native yeasts, then 30 months in barrique. A white to follow in the glass, giving it time to open.
Try it with roast poultry, mushrooms or aged Comté. Serve at 12–14 °C.
